Toe Rings

Toe rings are worn by many women these days. Actually, it is very much part of an Indian tradition. But nowadays, wearing toe rings is more of a style statement than a part of tradition. Married Indian women are expected to wear toe rings on both their feet. Indian women wear the toe ring on their second toe. The earliest references to toe rings can be found in the Hindu epic Ramayana. It is believed that when Ravana kidnapped Sita, she threw her toe rings on the way to Lanka (now Sri Lanka) so that Rama (her husband) could find her. So the tradition for married women to wear this piece of jewellery is ancient.

Now it seems that toe rings are much more than mere fashion or even tradition. Wearing toe rings has health benefits too. This age old custom seems to have been designed with a health perspective in mind. Or rather, it is would be fair to call it an ancient fertility ritual that still works. The health benefits of wearing toe rings is actually associated with a woman's fertility. Here are some of the major Health benefits of wearing toe rings. Regular Menstrual Periods The main reason why Indian women wear toe rings after marriage is to regulate their menstrual cycle. The exact reason for this connection between toe rings and menstrual cycles is not clear. But it has something to do with a nerve that passes through the second toe on both your feet. Pressing this nerve is supposed to ensure that your periods are regular. Now you already know that having regular menstrual cycle helps you to conceive easily. In the modern context, menstrual regularity is much more than a mere fertility ritual. Most women do not have regular periods due to unhealthy and stressful lifestyles. That is why, wearing toe rings could be a natural remedy for menstrual problems for such women.

You must have noticed that toe rings are always worn on both feet. This is to maintain a balance of energies. The nerve that passes through the second toe also passes through the uterus and heart. So wearing the toe ring on both rings ensure that a balance is maintained in your uterus. This also helps women to maintain their fertility and reproductive health. Good Conductor Of Energy The toe rings that Indian women wear are always made of silver. Now the metal silver is a good conductor of energy. So when you walk on the earth, the silver toe rings absorb all the positive energy from the earth and transfer it to your body. According to Ayurveda, it is good to have some metal on your body.

Ways to Protect Yourself from Cellphone Radiation

It's official! Health experts are beginning to take the risk of cellphone radiation seriously, and the WHO's latest report confirms many peoples' suspicions about the risks of wireless technology. With this latest "news" in mind, preventative measures to limit your exposure to potentially harmful cellphone radiation have become all the more salient. So to be sure you don't regret the countless hours you've whiled away on your beloved cellphone, here are our top five ways to mitigate your exposure to cell phone radiation!

FLIGHT MODE
Most people don’t know this, but many phones now have a function that allows their cellphones to be used on airplanes. Because airplane mode cuts off all wireless transmissions from your cellular device, it also stops all risk of cellphone radiation too! So if you’re not using your phone for an extended period of time, then either turn it off, or put it on airplane mode. Because the phone uses less energy to operate when wireless transmissions are halted, it also saves battery, which makes your technology use just a tiny bit more efficient.

PROTECT YOUR FAMILY JEWELS
Where is the number one place to carry a cellphone? For the ladies, it might be a purse, but for all of us purse-less males and females, our default carrying vessel for phones is most commonly our front pocket. But when you start to consider that your cellphone is essentially a miniature antennae constantly receiving and broadcasting information, then the close proximity of the front pocket to certain… ahem… organs becomes a major concern. The answer? If you’re carrying your phone in your pocket, then either turn it off, or put it on airplane mode. If there are potential health hazards for having a phone near your head, then you can only imagine the risks involved with carrying it right next to your baby maker.

SLEEP SOUNDLY
For many people, the cellphone follows us all throughout the day, even into the bedroom. Many people place their cellphone at their bedside table before catching their nightly z’s and think nothing of it. But many experts believe that this not only disturbs sleep, but can worsen some of the potential health risks. If you sleep an average of 6-10 hours a night with your phone within a 6′ radius from your head, then you’re only worsening your exposure. Again, either turn your phone off, or put it on airplane mode and use it as your alarm clock like I do. Similarly, wifi routers should stay out of the bedroom as well, and some sleep experts even recommend removing electronics from the bedroom altogether. You don’t have to go overboard, but begin thinking about creating a space that is ideal for sleeping, and relegate electronics to other parts of the home.

REV UP YOUR TEXTING FINGERS
As obvious as it may seem, sending a text to someone requires a lot less signal power than calling your friends and family. So when it’s appropriate, opt for sending texts instead of spending those extra minutes talking on the phone. Although you might seem like an automatron to older generations, texting is the way to go if you’re aiming to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.

USE AN EMF PROOF HEADSET
There are a few of these on the market, and we expect a broader variety of products to appear in the wake of this news. The technology works just like a stethoscope and allows the user to hear their telephone conversations without the use of wires, which conduct potentially harmful cellphone transmissions directly into the user’s ear. One of the most respected products on the market for “radiation free” headsets is called “blue tube” technology. Look around and see which one fits your specific cell phone. If you’re not in a position to invest in a new headset, use speaker mode when talking on the cellphone and place your phone at least 5 feet away from you, but not so far that the person on the other line can’t hear you. Again, the farther the better.

The internet (as always) has a plethora of information surrounding cellphone radiation and EMF (electromagnetic field) exposure. Dr. Mercola in particular has been warning the public about the dangers of cellphone radiation for years, and even began a website devoted entirely to the study of EMF’s. While he’s known to be a bit of a salesman at times, it doesn’t discredit the fact that he has pioneered much of the existing medical advocacy surrounding the potential risks of EMF’s and cellphone radiation. So, educate yourself, be cautious, and most importantly, everything in moderation!

Annalakshmi Restaurant

18/3, Rukmani Lakshmipathy Road | Near Rani Meyyammai Hall, Chennai (Madras) 600008, India

SThe complete experience right from booking a table was wonderful. The good thing about the restaurant is that booking is mandatory; arrival time to the restaurant is confirmed during the booking and it avoids waiting for tables. Spacious parking is available which saves the fuss about locating a parking slot. The ambience inside the restaurant is serene, with magnificent paintings arranged on the walls artistically. Both buffet and a la carte services are available (We had gone for the buffet lunch). The buffet menu had both north Indian and south Indian dishes. The taste of all the items was divine, with the service by the staff courteous. Tomato soup was served as starter. Roti, Butter naan, Paneer gravy, a vegetable gravy, dal, vegetable pulav, paani poori, bisibelabath, curd rice, appalams, vadams were there for the main course. Salads, gulab jamun, laddu, cake, ice cream, lemon juice were available in the desserts section. The meal was completed with a banana and a beeda. The cost of buffet lunch was Rs.400 + taxes. In all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I decided to check out this much talked about restaurant in Chennai and landed there this afternoon with a friend. Had pre-booked in advance for their fine dine silver service section - Swarna. Was pleasantly surprised when i got a call this morning for a reconfirmation of my table reservation - thats a good follow up system, i say to myself, but pray why the lady on the other side only speak Tamil (this was the case when i called for my table reservation 2 days ago too) and my plea to converse in English fell to deaf ears. Its Tamil land but are they only wanting to serve to their own!! But that did not deter me and we landed for our lunch this afternoon.

As you enter the restaurant and the lovely decor convinces you that you are going to have a good afternoon indeed. You are escorted to your table and are greeted in a most hospitable manner by your server. His smile puts you at ease.

We select our drinks (from the drinks menu - all non alcoholic beverages, but naturally) and ask for the lunch menu but are told that there is a thali which is being served. So we insist on seeing the menu and with a bit of reluctance, are handed one (each). Why the reluctance - no idea, maybe lest we go for a-la-carte option?!

We opt for the Preetibhojan Thali. In the meanwhile our fresh pomegranate juice, Anarkali arrives. Excellent.......one can come back to this place simply for this juice. It was fresh and wonderfully refreshing. The Thali arrives.....we start with the soup (made with green leafy veg), verdict - very tasty. No cream, no masalas, simple and yet so tasty. The appetiser - simple and so very tasty. As far as the main course component of the Thali goes, its a mixture of North Indian and South Indian. Its like having a simple, healthy and freshly done home cooked meal.
On finishing the meal, the finger bowls arrive - rose water with a lime slice. Its silver service all the way - from cutlery to the plates, not to forget the ever courteous servers.
Whether the food justifies the tag of Rs 675/- each thali or not, but I say you are paying for the whole experience and not to forget, "charity" and I say, "its worth it!"

Reason behind Punishment

Remember the ‘good’ old Indian school punishments? Holding the earlobes with arms crossed over your chests, bending the knees and then sit and then stand and so on till the time Masterji is saying?

Ever thought why the traditional Indian school teachers would give this particular punishment? I believe even majority of the teachers who grant this punishment to their students do not know the reason behind it. This form of punishment has been in practice in our country since the Gurukul time and was given to the students who were weak in studies. That is a different question if now a days teachers grant this punishment for any mistake and not only for studies but originally it was meant for weak students only.
Talking about the logic behind this punishment, it is very interesting to know that this particular posture increases the blood flow in the memory cells in brain and synchronizes the right and left side of the brain to improve function and promote calmness, stimulates neural pathways via acupressure points in the earlobe, sharpens intelligence and also helps those with autism, asperger’s syndrome, learning difficulties and behavioral problems.

Probably we have forgotten this ancient method of increasing memory power but the West is now using is very diligently and they are recommending this posture or exercise to treat many a diseases.

REAL STORY OF AMERICAN DOLLAR VS INDIAN RUPEE

An Advice to all who are worrying about fall of Indian Rupee.
Throughout the country please stop using cars except for emergency for only seven days (Just 7 days)
Definitely Dollar rate will come down. This is true. The value to dollar is given by petrol only. This is called Derivative Trading. America has stopped valuing its Dollar with Gold 70 years ago.
Americans understood that Petrol is equally valuable as Gold so they made Agreement with all the Middle East countries to sell petrol in Dollars only. That is why Americans print their Dollar as legal tender for debts. This mean if you don't like their American Dollar and go to their Governor and ask for repayment in form of Gold,as in India they won't give you Gold.

You observe Indian Rupee, " I promise to pay the bearer..." is clearly printed along with the signature of Reserve Bank Governor. This mean, if you don't like Indian Rupee and ask for repayment,Reserve Bank of India will pay you back an equal value of gold.(Actually there may be minor differences in the Transaction dealing rules, but for easy comprehension I am explaining this)

Let us see an example. Indian petroleum minister goes to Middle East country to purchase petrol, the Middle East petrol bunk people will say that liter petrol is one Dollar.
But Indians won't have dollars. They have Indian Rupees. So what to do now? So That Indian Minister will ask America to give Dollars. American Federal Reserve will take a white paper , print Dollars on it and give it to the Indian Minister. Like this we get dollars , pay it to petrol bunks and buy petrol.

But there is a fraud here. If you change your mind and want to give back the Dollars to America we can't demand them to pay Gold in return for the Dollars. They will say " Have we promised to return something back to you? Haven't you checked the Dollar ? We clearly printed on the Dollar that it is Debt"
So, Americans don't need any Gold with them to print Dollars. They will print Dollars on white papers as they like.

But what will Americans give to the Middle East countries for selling petrol in Dollars only?

Middle East kings pay rent to America for protecting their kings and heirs. Similarly they are still paying back the Debt to America for constructing Roads and Buildings in their countries. This is the value of American Dollar. That is why Many say some day the Dollar will be destroyed.

At present the problem of India is the result of buying those American Dollars. American white papers are equal to Indian Gold. So if we reduce the consumption of petrol and cars, Dollar will come down

The Above Details are translated originally from Telugu Language to English by Radhika Gr.
Kindly share this and make everyone aware of the facts of American Dollar V/s Indian Rupee.

And here is a small thing other than petrol , what we can do to our Indian Rupee

YOU CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS:-

Please spare a couple of minutes here for the sake of India.
Here's a small example:-

Before 12 months 1 US $ = INR Rs 39
After 12 months, now 1 $ = INR Rs 62

Do you think US Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

Our economy is in your hands.INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries, is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation. More than 30,000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages, etc. which are grown, produced and consumed here.

A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paise to produce, is sold for Rs.9 and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy. We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interest we request everybody to use INDIAN products only at least for the next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the Rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it?
Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.Each individual should become a leader for this awareness. This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

Daily products which are COLD DRINKS,BATHING SOAP ,TOOTH PASTE,TOOTH BRUSH ,SHAVING CREAM,BLADE, TALCUM POWDER ,MILK POWDER ,SHAMPOO , Food Items etc. all you need to do is buy Indian Goods and Make sure Indian rupee is not crossing outside India.

Every INDIAN product you buy makes a big difference. It saves INDIA. Let us take a firm decision today.
we are not anti-multinational. we are trying to save our nation. every day is a struggle for a real freedom. we achieved our independence after losing many lives.
they died painfully to ensure that we live peacefully. the current trend is very threatening.

multinationals call it globalization of indian economy. for indians like you and me, it is re-colonization of india. the colonist's left india then. but this time, they will make sure they don't make any mistakes.

russia, s.korea, mexico - the list is very long!! let us learn from their experience and from our history. let us do the duty of every true indian. finally, it's obvious that you can't give up all of the items mentioned above. so give up at least one item for the sake of our country!

Google AdSense - 3

If you are ready to start making a little extra incomefrom your website, there are a few things you need to know. Adsense can be extremely powerful when implemented correctly.

Here are some easy Adsense tips that will give you great results.

1. Use Better Keywords

Keywords are the bread and butter of all these earnings. If you’re using highly competitive keywords you’re not going to rank as well as if you were using lower competitive keywords. The Google AdWords Tools is great for finding low competition keywords for your articles and blog posts. This is a free tool offered by Google, but there are more powerful tools out there like Market Samuri and Keyword Elite. These are trusted names and work very well.

2. Have Proper Keyword Density

Check your keyword density before you post an article onto your website or blog. Your keyword density is going to determine the relevance to your niche and will improve your trafficin the search engines. It’s pretty much a given that when you have more traffic you’re going to get more clicks.

However, your keyword density is also going to determine the kinds of advertising is posted onto your site. There is nothing worse than having a niche site for toddles and having an Adsense ad that has to do with body cream. Use a keyword density tool so your post isn’t marked as spam. This will also help you in the even that you need to boost the density.

3. Put Up New Content

Writing new content every day is not some great revelation, but it is proven to generate traffic to your website. Make sure that you are using the best keywords and the best keyword density in your posts. Try to post a new page to your website every day. When you post a new page you are increasing the chances that somebody will click on your ads.

4. Choose The Best Formats

Adsense comes in a lot of different formats. When you’re choosing the format for your blog or website, you want to use the banners for the top part of your website and the squares for the sides. The best formats are the 336×280 large rectangle ads, 160×600 skyscraper ads and the 300×250 medium rectangle ads. These are more aesthetically appealing to the reader and present the text in a readable format.

5. Color Coordinate The Ads

When you’re using Google AdSense with your website, you want to make sure that the ads look like they are part of the site. People are more likely to click on something that doesn’t look like an ad. You want to make it look like they are clicking on a link that will take them to a different page on your site.

Make sure that the border colors, the background colors, link colors and the text colors all match your site. You can do this through the control panel. You can even rotate the color palettes to make create a variety of colors when somebody visits your site.

6. Position The Ads Well

The position that your ads are in is very important to getting clicks. When somebody comes to your website, they scan the headlines to see if the information is relevant to their search. Using the links as navigational links around your website is one of the best methods of positioning.

Put your links at the top and bottom of the content pages instead of on the side. Remember that you want the links to look like they’re part of your site. When you position them between at the top and bottom of your content pages you are more likely to get clicks.

7. Don’t Use Too Many Ads

You can go overboard with your ads. Having too advertising on your website will leave the reader wondering what they need to click for information. This can also look like spamming, something that you never want to do.

Readers are humans and they don’t want a website that is specifically made for Google AdSense. They are there for your content so make sure that the content comes before the ads. Two to three ads on your site is the best amount to have.
